VERY IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR MEMORIAL GATHERINGS

As you may suspect, the COVID-19 Pandemic has led to many restrictions on our ability to host gatherings, even Memorial events. As of April 2, 2021- the State of New York will be allowing an increase for gatherings at Michael's all the way up to 100 guests without COVID guest list protocols. This means there is nothing extra you or your guests need to "prove" to us to gather here as long as you are at no more than 100 guests.

Please read further ONLY IF you are hoping to have more than 100 guests at your event. There are many important COVID precautions we will have to perform in order to be allowed to host events with between 101 and 150 chairs. Gatherings intending to request over 100 chairs will have to submit a formal request to the State Health Department and will also have to provide Michael's with a solid guest list that we will be required to check against a produced vaccination card or negative COVID test. Please visit the link at the very top of our website to read more details about the new State requirements. We cannot host any event with more than 100 chairs until the State Health Department has been notified and the event gets approved, which should not be expected to happen until 5 or 6 days after their notification. This means we can only plan Memorial Gatherings of up to 100 guests if you are planning to gather within just a few days of the passing of your loved one. We are not allowed to host an event with more than 150 chairs at this time.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this all undoubtedly causes your family, but these are firm State rules which we are obligated to follow until further notice.

The managers in our office can work with you in person, over the phone, or even electronically. We can help you plan the gathering within your budget, and that day the banquet manager’s presence will not be missed by anyone in attendance. We pride ourselves on the constant compliments we get about the friendliness of our staff and management, and we are extra sensitive to the needs of a grieving family here celebrating a loved one’s life.
